Idealista.com. Building the case.

Jesús Encinar is one of the best representatives of the successful Spanish dot-com entrepreneur. Founder and CEO of Idealista.com, he is recognized for his uncontested capacity to build the first real estate website in Spanish worldwide – one of Europe´s leading portal- as well as, among the Spanish bloggers, for www.jesusencinar.com, a binnacle that perfectly combines the ability to be the Spanish real estate market reference with a very personal testimony of an LGBT entrepreneur. He was also the first speaker and donor of ieOut.

The mission of ieOut is “to be a reference for Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgender (LGBT) and their friends at IE. This network wants to promote and spread respectful attitudes towards the Gay community and to foster best practices to integrate them in the Business School and in the workplace."

Since founded in September 2006, ieOut has been organizing and supporting several significant LGBT events here, in our campus, and internationally, along with more informal ones such as the “monthly networking event”, a meeting point for young LGBT professionals and entrepreneurs. On the academic and research areas, ieOut is currently working on several projects and continues to publish articles in the media, focused on the Spanish companies best practices on LGBT inclusion.

We are now proud to announce that Idealista.com and IE Business School have agreed to write a case -to be discussed at business schools all around the world- to illustrate these best practices not only with regard to LGBT inclusion, but also to entrepreneurship and technology.

Today Jesús Encinar, Fernando Encinar -Idealista.com Communication Director-, and IE Professor Enrique Dans, have met at Idealista offices at Plaza de las Cortes, 2 to start building the case.

From our meeting room in idealista.com´ s headquarters, we became unexpected and privileged witnesses of the arrival of King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia at the Spanish Parliament, for presiding over the opening of the new legislature.
